ECHO Spring 2017 Newsletter
Welcome to our newsletter, which we hope will keep you informed with what is happening at Eccles Town Hall.
The first social event this year was the Bad Apple theatre production of ‘Eddie and the gold tops’ which was fantastic and so well appreciated by all who came to see it. We plan to hold another similar event in the Autumn.
We then hosted a free concert by the BBC Philharmonic which was attended by over 150 people and greatly enjoyed by all. What a treat!
REFURBISHMENT
To put on future events to best effect we have decided to upgrade the lighting in the ballroom and tidy up the stage area. The five centre lights in the hall will be removed and replaced by Victorian style brass chandeliers, four down each side of the hall in the locations where they would have been originally. In addition we are introducing stage lighting which have special effects for dancing/ Christmas etc. These two projects are well in hand for completion in weeks rather than months and in addition we hope to have an induction loop system in place by the end of the year.
