Volunteering

…………………………..

ECHO is the Eccles Community Hall Organisation.  It is entirely run by Volunteers, who work to refurbish and maintain the Hall, and run Events.  ECHO is a registered Charitable Organisation, which was very proud to earn a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2015.

Our aim is to encourage use of this venue by local groups for a range of activities, promoting interest in the arts, culture and local heritage.
Use of the Hall nurtures friendships, reinforces pride in our town, and is fun!

We hold varied events including concerts, dances, theatrical productions, meetings, lectures, exhibitions and displays, and the Hall is a resource for Salford Council, the Community Volunteer Service, and numerous health and welfare charities.

As ECHO is entirely run by Volunteers, this is where you come in!  If you become a Volunteer the choice of what you do is yours: you can choose the Events (or parts of Events) you attend and the jobs that you do to help out.

There is a Committee of Trustees, all of whom started out as Volunteers, and after 12 months, if you wanted, you could be elected to become a Trustee.
