[bs_lead]Over the past few years ECHO has put on a coffee morning every Saturday for the people of Eccles. This has been thanks to the many volunteers who have given their time to prepare the food and cakes during the week and also to serve on Saturday mornings.[/bs_lead]

Many of the volunteers who are helping each Saturday have been helping out for over a year now and some of them have been with the Cafe since very near the beginning. Sadly some of our volunteers now feel it’s time to move on to other things. They will still be volunteering for ECHO, just not with the Cafe.

This has meant that we no longer have enough volunteers to run the cafe on a weekly basis.

You might have also noticed that a number of new cafes have opened (or re-opened), and existing locations like Morrisons and Wetherspoons have recently undergone refurbishments. This means that the ECHO Saturday Cafe is no longer a unique offering in Eccles, like it was when we started.

All this together has led us to the unfortunate decision that we will no longer be able to run the Cafe on Saturday mornings.

We look forward to running the Cafe as part of special events like the popular Quilting exhibition and craft fairs we have booked for the future, and hope you will join us as we open up the cafe in all its glory during these events and we will let you know via email when these events are planned.

Once again, I would like to thank you for your support over the years, and I look forward to seeing you at other ECHO events in the near future.
